2.5 SEO

There are some factors that can affect your chat SEO (Search Engine Optimization): the name of your chat, the Custom URL and the Meta tags.

(1) Name

The name of your chat affects your chat SEO.

Please read Chat Options to learn how to set up the name of your chat.

(2) Custom URL

The Custom URL affects your chat SEO.

Please read Chat Options to learn how to set up the Custom URL of your chat.

(3) Meta tags

Adding Meta Description to a chat to increase SEO value.

Step 1:

Go to the chat builder.

Click the “Customize” button on the left side of the page to access the “Chat Customization” form. 

Step 2:

The “Chat Customization” form appears. In the “SEO” section you can write a Meta description for a chat.

2.4 Chat HTML Client’s Appearance setting

The appearance of a Chat HTML Client can be customized. The settings include: Colors, Background image, Host and Client avatars, Logo image.

Step 1:

Go to the chat builder.

Click the “Customize” button on the left side of the page to access the “Chat Customization” form. 

Step 2:

The “Chat Customization” form appears. In the “Layout” section you can set up the appearance of a Chat HTML Client.

A preview window also appears and it shows the current setting of the colors of the Chat HTML Client

The available options are:

  1. Main chat bubble background color
  2. Main chat bubble text color
  3. Main chat bubble link color
  4. User chat bubble background color
  5. User chat bubble text color
  6. User chat bubble link color
  7. Main background color
  8. Bars background color

>> Background Image, Host Avatar and Client Avatar

(Q1) Click “Update the background image” to upload an image for the background of the chat.

(Q2) Click “Update the host Avatar” to upload an image or icon for the host avatar of the chat. A PNG file is recommended.

(Q3) Click “Update the client Avatar” to upload an image or icon for the client’s avatar of the chat. A PNG file is recommended.

(Q4) Click “Update” to save your changes.

(Q1) Click “Update the Logo image” to upload a Logo image for the chat.

(Q2) Click “Update” to save your changes.

Click the “Preview” button on the right side of the chat builder page to open the Chat HTML client.

The Logo image that we have uploaded is shown in the Chat HTML client.

2.3 Facebook Messenger Integration

Querlo Chat can be integrated with Facebook Messenger. 

Step 1:

Go to the chat builder.

Click the “Customize” button on the left side of the page to access the “Chat Customization” form. 

Step 2:

The “Chat Customization” form appears. In the “Facebook Messenger Integration” section you can set up the integration with Facebook Messenger for a chat.

Step 3:

(Q1) Click the “Facebook Login” button to access your Facebook account.

(Q2) Click “Update”

2.2 NLU Integration

Querlo Chat can be integrated with NLU (Natural Language Understanding) that is supported by the main Cognitive Service providers such as Microsoft LUIS and IBM Watson.

Step 1:

Go to the chat builder.

Click the “Customize” button on the left side of the page to access the “Chat Customization” form. 

Step 2:

The “Chat Customization” form appears. In the “NLU Integration” section you can set up the NLU integration with Microsoft LUIS and IBM Watson.

(Q1) Enter your MS LUIS Account Key in the field.

(Q2) Click “Update”

  • NLU Integration with IBM Watson

There are two datacenters – Primary and Secondary. 

The Secondary datacenter is a backup datacenter to improve reliability – Querlo will automatically use backup models when available if the primary datacenter is not responsive or slow.

(Q1) Choose a Primary datacenter and enter an API Key that is provided by IBM Watson Assistance

(Q2) Click “Update”

By default, the Primary datacenter is Dallas. Other available datacenters are Sydney, London, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Washington DC, and Seoul.

2.1 Chat Options

There are some basic options to set up a chat. These options include Name, Language, Speed factor, Custom URL and other options.

Step 1:

Go to the chat builder.

Click the “Customize” button on the left side of the page to access the “Chat Customization” form. 

Step 2:

The “Chat Customization” form appears. In the “Options” section you can set up some basic options for a chat.

>> Name

The Name field is where you can set up and change the name of a chat.

>> Language

The Language field is where you can set up and change the language of a chat. 

The default language is English. Other available languages are Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic and others.

>> Speed factor

The speed factor affects the speed of the Chat HTML client.

By default, the speed factor is 1. The higher the number is, the faster the Chat HTML client displays its text script.

>> Custom URL

The Custom URL field is where you can enter a text to set up a permanent permalink of a chat.

The permalink of a chat

Go to the chat builder.

(Q1) Click the “Embed” button on the right side of the page.

(Q2) The “Distribution options” form appears. The URL in the Permalink section is the permalink of a chat that can be pasted into emails or onto websites. (Please read Share a chat to learn more)

The permalink is a reuseable link that includes a number that is generated by the system as the ID of the chat. For example, https://www.querlo.com/chat/12971

Setting up a permalink with Custom URL

Example

Step 1:

Open the “Chat Customization” form by clicking the “Customize” button on the left side of the page.

(Q1) Enter a text in the Custom URL field.

(Q2) Click “Update”.

Here we have entered  “This_is_a_test”. 

Step 2:

(Q1) Click the “Embed” button on the right side of the page

(Q2) The URL in the Permalink section becomes https://www.querlo.com/chat/This_is_a_test

>> Other options

  1. Active: When it is enabled, a chat is active.
  2. Always reset: When it is enabled, the Chat HTML client always resets.
  3. Disable Querlo Branding: When it is enabled, the Querlo logo is disabled in the Chat HTML client.
  4. E-mail notification: When it is enabled, the system sends an email to notify the chat owner that someone has completed his/her chat.
  5. Randomize answer order: When it is enabled, the order of the answers provided in a chat is randomized.
  6. Enable share: When it is enabled, a chat can be shared.
