Continuing Querlo’s interview series, Francesco Rulli, Global CEO of Querlo spoke with Philip Arckoll, Founder of Worklytics, about the role of Artificial Intelligence in the post-COVID era, and, specifically how it relates to the work he does with Worklytics.
Founded in 2015, Worklytics is a New York based company that provides workforce analytics centered around productivity and collaboration. The company uses Artificial Intelligence to anonymously analyze work habits and how organizations function as a whole. By observing patterns, Worklytics helps organizations construct a healthier and happier team.
COVID-19 was such an unprecedented change for employees who were accustomed to the daily face-to-face action with their teams, and they had to figure out how to adjust quickly to this new way of working. Organizations were forced to rapidly adapt to the implications of being completely remote from a team, leadership, and management perspective. Philip noted that many challenges arose in the beginning of this shift, including work-life balance and longer work days.
Additionally, Philip discussed his concerns about employees “potentially losing connections with those outside of their direct sphere of influence.” Working remotely has changed the way we work, the way we manage, and the visibility the managers have inside of organizations. Many companies have tried to survey their workforces to get a better idea of what those changes are, but Philip believes that looking at the data anonymously is a more insightful way to understand the implications and take advantage of remote work.
When asked about the role of Artificial Intelligence in the future, Philip responded by saying it’s a great way to manage a remote team and help individuals better understand their working and leadership patterns. He sees Artificial Intelligence as a day-to-day assistant to help people get the most out of their time while at work so they can be productive while also having more time off for the best work-life balance.
